Strengthen your fundamentals and elevate your drawing practice in this focused, 3 class bootcamp!
April will lecture and draw live from photo and a live model, with a camera and TV display so every student can follow along clearly from their seat. You’ll work step‑by‑step on newsprint with charcoal, focusing on essential skills that transfer directly into stronger figure drawing.
WHAT YOU’LL LEARN
Day 2 - Gesture Drawing
- Short Poses all day!
- Understand what gesture means, how to think of it, & how to use it
- Perfect for sequential, comic book and storyboard artists & animators
- Learn how to better convey movement & energy in your work
- Fundamentals such as line of action & how to use it for both life drawing & figure invention
- Tie it to structure in order to build mannequins & life drawings with gesture, rhythm & movement, the building blocks
Saturday September 12th • 11 am–5 pm In Person
